FGC treats Klipheuwel community at Soup Kitchen

Members of the Fisantekraal Golfing Community held a soup kitchen which brought some winter relief to the families of Klipheuwel in Durbanville on Saturday 23rd May as part of their ongoing campaign.
Not even the icy cold weather could stop more than 250 children and about 30 families from the Klipheuwel community  attending this event as they joyously displayed their gratitude.

The children who attended were  entertained with various types of sports which included some golf lessons from the members.

The members also encouraged the youngsters to make sport part of their daily activities and to refrain from walking the streets and rather make use of the recreational facilities where they can practice and exercise in safe conditions.

The day ended with a suprise when all the children were offered a goody bag which was donated by Linley and Diane Oostendorp of Metallica Manufacturing.
